Nothing beats getting up early on a summer morning to go fishing by a river in the mountains. Especially when the said spot on the river is in an area where few people know. Many pass the turn off on their way up to Leavenworth, or Lake Wenatchee, and few know it is where a secret boat launch is located. But mostly it is a small gem of a fishing spot in the summer with few people about.

This peaceful place (until the train comes through) is located on the Skyhomish River outside of Goldbar WA on Stevens Pass Highway (Highway 2 East). It is a place where you do need the Discover Pass or one day pass to access.
