The Bridesmaid Dairies | The Wedding – Reception

Time to celebrate these two!

Let’s talk the food. BBQ is always the best reception food at any wedding! So yep I’m down for it. So what was on the BBQ menu?

  • Smoked BBQ Brisket
  • Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork
  • Texas style BBQ Buns
  • Country Style Potato Salad
  • Coleslaw (non mayo type too!)
  • Asian Style Salad (the crunch one that I die for!)
  • WSU Cougar Gold Mac n’ Cheese ( the bride graduated from Washington State University)

Bridal Table & Everything Else

During the dinner part we all took photos of all of us.

All The Single Ladies

Oh the bride tossing the bouquet for all the single ladies has been a recurring a long time for me. I always go in knowing I will not be catching it. Well….

The look says it all! I did not expect it one bit since it was just me and three other adult singles who participate. So I caught it! I was in shock from the realization of it happening.

So I guess I’m next in line to get married as soon as I find a guy

The Cake

There is a trend I am loving recently and that is forgoing the cake and doing cupcakes, pies, anything that is cake like, but not cake. The bride choose to have yellow and white buttercream frosted vanilla cupcakes.

The couple cut a large cupcake on the top of the cupcake rack with a frosting spatula that was unique as the both of them. It was the cutest thing to watch them feed each other a piece of the cake.

The Send Off

It wasn’t really a send off, but was staged one for the cameras. The bride and groom wanted everyone to be there in the photo.

First Dance

Awww moment again! I was wiping tears back at seeing these two dance together. Seven years they had been together until this day when their forever started. Sigh!

Then it was time to party into the night! We danced until it was 11pm when we had to shut it down! The crazy part was, there are no pictures of me dancing! Which only means we were having too much fun to care about it.

Yet we found the photo booth, and got into some shenanigans.

The night ended with the rain coming in, and started down pouring. At this point I didn’t care because it was so refreshing after a night of celebration and a night with amazing family and friends. Rain they say is good luck when it is on your wedding day, so if true then the bride and groom have so much luck coming down on them.

I didn’t get back to the hotel until a little before midnight. It was so hilarious to walk through the hotel lobby with people looking at me strangely still in my bridesmaid dress, makeup smudged, hairstyle frazzled, and not giving a care in the world. I was riding high. It took awhile to get all thirty three or more bobby pins out of my hair and to brush the teased hair out before I collapsed into bed.

The next morning I was back in the car driving heading back west of the mountains to be at work the next day. At one point as I started tearing up as I pulled off into a rest stop. It had been an emotional few days, and I would not have missed it for the world!

Cheers to a beautiful wedding, and a wonderful couple!
