About

Hi there! I’m Lacey!
I grew up in Seattle (north of downtown) with a cat and a love for being outdoors exploring the neighborhood (typical 90s kid). I studied Biology in college and upon graduation, I needed a creative outlet for navigating this science experiment called life. That was in my early twenties, now as a thirty something, it all about embracing the adventures life takes you on.

I began A Biotechie’s Life in 2010 as an online diary-my corner of the internet to document all the amazing places life and my sciences career as taken me on. A Biotechie’s Life ultimately is a creative outlet and a forum to share pieces of my life, thoughts, and travel. Embracing the adventurous science experiment called life.

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. This is actually a comment on your post about Wallace Falls, but I could not find a comment button for the post (if there is one). I recently moved to a suburb of Seattle and my SO and I were hoping to go hiking at Wallace Falls soon, it’s been on our to do list for a while. So far we have only hiked to Snow Lake but your pictures and description of Wallace Falls (even in the less sunny weather) has re-motivatived me! Thanks for posting about it!
